About the class

About the class:

What is a chakra? How can the chakra system enhance our yoga practice? And how can we use the chakra system to become happier, healthier and more vibrant in our bodies and in our lives?

In this immersive session we will journey through all the chakras in the 7-chakra system - moving, breathing and engaging our senses to connect to each one in turn. You will gain a basic understanding of the chakra system and how it can provide a profound template for transformation. You may even identify chakras that are more ‘open’ or ‘blocked’ and feel inspired towards further personal enquiry.

The session will include:

- A short introduction to the chakra system.

- A yoga practice including postures, breathing, hand gestures, affirmations and meditation, that will work through all the chakras to give you an embodied experience of connecting to each one.

- The opportunity for self-reflection and discussion.

This session is suitable for anyone interested in the chakra system and self-enquiry, including curious students and yoga teachers/ trainees. Come with an open mind an, you may even have some fun!

About Laura Knightly Brown:

Laura has been teaching yoga since 2016 and has been an avid student of all things “wellbeing” for over 20 years. She is driven to explore how to use both ancient wisdom and modern science to find tools that can help people thrive.

Laura loves yoga for the way it combines the physical, mental and spiritual, creating an holistic system for achieving vibrant health in body, mind and soul. Yoga is a path to self-knowledge, and understanding ourselves is arguably the most powerful thing we can do to enhance our wellbeing. By combining the ancient wisdom of yoga with more recent developments in psychology and science, we can find illuminating tools for self-enquiry.
